Are you training for the cross-country skiing race Vasaloppet

For those who want to go cross-country skiing, there are a number of options. Whether you want to go classic, skate or go on a trip. When the ice has settled on Åresjön, it is wonderful to skate there in the sun. Tracks and electric light trails can be found in Björnen, Duved and Järpen. If you want to explore other areas, there are also trails in Edsåsdalen, Trillevallen, Vålådalen, Storulvån and Storlien.

Do you want to experience the bare mountains from touring skis

A cross-country trip in Ullådalen is the perfect activity for a day in the mountains. Pack coffee in your rucksack and strap on your skis. Here you get to experience the mountain for real. When your stomach starts rumbling, you look for the coziest place for a break together. The ski bus goes to Ullådalen so no car is needed.

Hike and enjoy the mountains

The mountains during the bare ground season are something really special. To go hiking and experience the calmness, a rippling mountain stream and all the beautiful flowers gives energy and peace. During the autumn, the mountain's magnificent autumn colors take your breath away and give an extra boost for darker times. You choose if you want to live with your own patio in Björnen, Sadeln or Tegefjäll, or with a balcony and proximity to restaurants and shops in the middle of Åre.

Happy hike

Here the mountain is easily accessible. Even if you live in the middle of the village, you can start the hike directly from the apartment and head out into the mountains. Totthummeln around, or up the 1420 meters at the top of Åreskutan. There are many signposted hiking trails and nice trail maps. Pack a lunch bag, or why not the trangia kitchen and cook lunch together. Food always tastes best outdoors. By bike in Åre

You who love cycling can really get your fill of pleasure in Åre. Take the lift up from the village and choose between everything from beautiful flow trails to more fast-paced and daring downhill trails. The younger ones prefer to hang out in the dirt, a track with a series of jumps for BMX or MTB. At Åre Torg there is a pump track that is also appreciated by the very youngest. In Björnen there is the Åre Bike Park Trail, an exciting bike park for both small and large cyclists. There is also a pump track and a skills area for technical training. Downhill, an adventure performs Skutan

On Skutan is Åre's awesome Bike Park with 37 trails spread over 50 kilometers. The highest drop is 853 meters. It is the largest bike park in Scandinavia! Here is something for everyone. The degree of difficulty varies; 7 green, 10 blue, 10 red and 10 black joints. Here, those who wish (and dare) can get a really breathtaking experience if you step on a little… Have you never tried downhill but curious to try? Rent a bike and book with a guide. Åre Torg is Åre's natural meeting place. Here, Åre's restaurants and shops spread out around the square, and this is where the ski slop ends. Here you can stroll in shops, drink a good cup of coffee, get a SPA treatment or just be and enjoy the holiday. The restaurant selection offers everything from fine dining to fast food. Something for all tastes. Many of our accommodations in Åre village are located right by Åre square so you are close to both shopping, restaurants and entertainment. It is always convenient to live in the middle of Åre with proximity to the entire range of entertainment.

Åre is one of the world's best villages when it comes to good restaurants and really good food. In a small area, you can easily walk between several really good restaurants with world-class food. Divide the family into different teams or play against friends. After the match, you can cool off with local drinks in the cozy café. Åre Sportcenter also has a tennis court, gym and office spaces if someone needs to work a little between matches.
