Spring in Åre
The spring-winter in Åre is sometimes called the fifth season because it is so special. March and April are the months for sun worshipers to enjoy Åre. The sun is really warm and few things beat a long-distance hike in a t-shirt on the mountain. Most of our accommodations have a balcony or terrace so you can enjoy a home après-ski in the sun after a lovely day on Åre's ski slopes. Since the days are so long and bright in the spring time, you have every opportunity to do a full day of downhill skiing and after dinner, when the lift is closed, go cross-country skiing. Or why not take dinner up the mountain and watch the sun sink behind the mountain. A better view is hard to get.

A spring weekend in Åre with family or best friends is a real energy boost. Ski together, spend the afternoon in a sunny snow pit on the mountain with something good to drink and finish with a sauna and a nice after-ski on the terrace in the evening sun. You eat dinner at home or at one of Åre's fantastic restaurants, do not forget to book a table.

Skutskjutet – Hela familjens störtloppstävling
En riktig Åre-klassiker!
I slutet av vintersäsongen genomförs årligen den anrika tävlingen Skutskjutet – Hela familjens störtloppstävling. Alla från 3 år kan delta i Skutskjutet och det finns många olika klasser att välja mellan. Delta individuellt eller dra ihop bästa kompisarna och bilda ett lag för att tävla tillsammans. Banan är ca 1,6 km lång med start vid Ripleden och målgång i Rödkullen. Tävlingarna avslutas med underhållning, prisutdelning och utlottning av fina priser. Du är väl med och tävlar?
