On Thursday, June 6, the cycling season kicks off Åre Bike Park! Hang out with old and new cycling friends and experience the start of Åre's cycling season. At Stjärnliften's valley station, you can see and test this year's new products among bicycles and bicycle accessories. The season's new cycle paths open.

From the opening weekend of June 6 until June 16, the Stjärnliften runs Friday-Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday 21-30 June Is the Stjärnliften, Hummelliften and Kabinbanan open Monday-Sunday. From July 1 to August 18, the entire mountain and all summer lifts are open and run daily. From August 22 to September 29, it is open Thursday-Sunday in Stjärnliften, VM8 and Kabinbanan. June 26-29

This summer it's time again for the popular St Olavsloppet! Over 1,200 participants run the 337.3 kilometers between Östersund in Sweden and the finish line in Trondheim in Norway. You can run both as an individual runner or in a team. Book accommodation in central Åre with proximity to restaurants and shops, or to SPA and physiotherapists if you need it after a tough stage.

Åre Extreme Week with a packed program consisting of competitions, workshops, lectures, happenings and events. A week at least as challenging as before. Coming well prepared is a hot tip. It's time for this year's edition of the Åre Fjällmarathon Öppet Fjäll. For those who want to experience the 25 or 43 km distances in a more relaxed manner. It will be an experience-rich day on the mountain with good food and drink served along the trail.

July 3-7

This summer's big cycling event in Åre is back, Åre Bike festival. It will be a program full of news, guided tours, competitions, clinics, entertainment and much more! Whether you want to cycle downhill, trail, dirten or pump track, there is something for everyone of all ages. July 6

The race goes through our beautiful nature in Jämtland and offers forests, steep slopes, beautiful and challenging terrain. Swim under Sweden's largest waterfall, cycle 20 miles through the wilderness of Jämtland and run up to the finish line at the top of Åreskutan. Swedeman is part of the Xtreme Triathlon World Tour so the course is not exactly a walk in the park. Just as the name suggests, this is a more extreme and challenging version of a triathlon race.

July 26-28

Visit the 30th anniversary Game Fair at Västgård in Kallbygden, 1994-2024. A wonderful fair in rural life and wilderness with a focus on e.g. fishing, hunting, engine, forest, soil, dog and horse. July 27 to August 3

A whole week filled with different running races in a mountain environment, from 8 to 100 km. Quarter Marathon, Half Marathon, Mini Marathon and Mountain Marathon and more. Some of the races you can completely choose yourself which day you want to complete. Breddloppet Ottsjö 8K for the whole family has a prize table with useful items worth up to SEK 100,000 which are distributed between several winners.

29 July – 3 August

A whole week of golf competitions on a magically beautiful golf course. Different forms of competition and sponsors every competition day. In the concluding Skidåkargolfen there is a prize table that is out of the ordinary.

August 24, 2024

To celebrate the 20th edition of the Åre Fjällmaraton 2024, the organizer is offering two anniversary races. Fjällmaraton Winter and Fjällmaraton night. On August 24, the second race of the series takes place; Mountain marathon Night. A dream track (?) of 33 km. Start in the dark along Ottsjön, up the classic "wall", in dawn light over Ottfjället, along Vålån and over the ford before reaching the finish area in Ottsjö where a fantastic breakfast buffet awaits.

Åre Autumn Market is a popular event among visitors, exhibitors and villagers alike. Stroll around Åre's streets on the three days and enjoy atmospheric music, locally produced food, activities, crowds of people and a pleasant atmosphere. A warm welcome to Åre 27-29 September 2024!

Celebrating autumn holidays in Åre is fun for all family members, big and small. Time together and full of activities and coziness. The wilderness camp is a must.
